Boost Your Health with Homemade Ginger Shots

Boost Your Health with Homemade Ginger Shots

I'm super excited to share my delicious and health-boosting ginger shot recipes. These little juice shots are not only a burst of flavor but also packed with incredible health benefits. Below are five unique ginger shot recipes that you can easily make at home using a cold press juicer.

The Benefits of Homemade Ginger Shots

First off, I absolutely love making my own ginger shots, especially during flu season. They help boost my immune system and are much more affordable than the store-bought versions. Plus, making them at home guarantees freshness and nutrient retention, unlike store-bought juices that can lose their potency on the shelf. Sometimes, I even make a large batch and freeze them for convenience!

To make these shots, you'll need a decent cold press juicer. I prefer a slow masticating juicer as it preserves nutrients and enzymes, giving you the purest juice possible. My personal favorite isn't too expensive and is easy to clean, thanks to its minimal parts. I'm not sponsored; I bought it with my own money and absolutely love it.

I also got these 2oz glass mini shot bottles (shown in the photos) to store my ginger shots in the fridge: https://amzn.to/3PAWriU

Each recipe below makes about seven 2oz ginger shots.

Classic Immune-Boosting Ginger Shot

Let's kick things off with a classic immune booster: ginger, turmeric, lemon, and orange juice. Ginger and turmeric are anti-inflammatory giants, while lemon adds a zing and oranges provide natural sweetness and vitamin C. Make sure your ginger, turmeric, and lemon are clean - no need to peel. Avoid juicing the orange with its skin because it can give a bitter flavor to the drink. Just juice your oranges or use a good fresh-pressed orange juice from the store.

Ginger, Turmeric, Lemon, & Orange

Ingredients
1 cup chopped fresh ginger
1 cup chopped fresh turmeric
1 whole lemon chopped
1 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice
pinch of black pepper

Directions

Mix all ingredients in the juicer and bottle the juice. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days. Or make a big batch and freeze.

Earthy Ginger Shot with Carrots and Beets

Next, try my vibrant earthy blend: ginger, turmeric, carrots, and beets. This shot is antioxidant-rich, supports liver health, and enhances your skin's glow. Beet juice, with its vitamins and nitrates, is perfect for a pre-workout boost as it improves blood flow.

You don't need to peel the veggies; just make sure they're clean. The sweetness of the carrots balances the earthiness of the beets, resulting in an intense raspberry-red juice.

Ginger, Turmeric, Beet, & Carrot

Ingredients
1 cup chopped fresh ginger
1 cup chopped fresh turmeric
1 medium beet chopped
2 chopped carrots

Directions

Mix all ingredients in the juicer and bottle the juice. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days. Or make a big batch and freeze.

Refreshing Green Ginger Shot

For a refreshing take, let's mix green apples, kiwi, and ginger. The strong flavors of green apples and kiwis, which are surprisingly high in vitamin C, balance the ginger, creating a flavorful shot. Keep everything unpeeled but clean.

Ginger, Kiwi, & Green Apple

Ingredients
1 cup chopped fresh ginger
3 green kiwi, chopped
2 green apples, chopped

Optional: Add two teaspoons of moringa powder before bottling for an additional nutrient boost.

Directions

Mix all ingredients in the juicer and bottle the juice. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days. Or make a big batch and freeze.

Berry Twist Ginger Shot

How about a ginger shot with a berry twist? This one features ginger, blueberries, and cherries—perfect for reducing inflammation and supporting brain health. Use thawed frozen blueberries and cherries for more juice yield. The blueberry-cherry sweetness mellows the ginger, creating a cool purple juice.

Optional: Enhance your shot with two teaspoons of blue spirulina powder for even more antioxidants.

Ginger, Blueberry, & Cherry

Ingredients
1 cup chopped fresh ginger
1.5 cup of frozen blueberries, thawed
1.5 cup of frozen cherries, thawed

Directions

Mix all ingredients in the juicer and bottle the juice. Store in the fridge for 3-5 days. Or make a big batch and freeze.

Tropical Ginger Shot with Pineapple

Lastly, my tropical blend combines ginger, turmeric, pineapple, and carrots. Pineapple's bromelain aids digestion and masks ginger’s powerful taste, making this shot easier to drink.

Remember, ginger shots are meant to be consumed quickly, not sipped. The strong fruity flavors make them enjoyable while providing incredible health benefits.
