Parsley is easier is easy to grow and tolerates some heat before going to bolt (start forming flowers and stop producing leaves). The flavor of fresh home grown parsley is much more concentrated than what can be found at the grocery store. I direct sow by sprinkling over the surface of my garden beds or can start seeds in pots/trays. It does like moderate temperatures, not too hot and not too cold. In Florida, it grows best fall, winter, and spring. I like to succession sow every 3 weeks to extend my harvest. I like to add some blood meal in the planting hole, or add it at the base of the plants for extra nitrogen which will produce nice, thick green leaves.

PLANTING
Germination: 7-10 days

Seed Sowing Depth: lightly cover with soil, about 1/2 inch

Sowing: Can direct sow or start in seed trays 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Grow during the more temperate times of the year such as spring and fall.
