Bronze Mignonette Butterhead Lettuce Seeds - Heirloom Vegetable Garden Seeds

This is such a pretty butterhead lettuce. The leaves are green with bronze streaks. Makes for an interesting contrast in a mixed salad. This is a butterhead type lettuce meaning it will form a compact head with soft lettuce leaves. The head grows to 6-8 inches wide. I like to harvest each individual leaf as needed so it will keep growing and producing more leaves. You can harvest the entire head if preferred. I add a big handful of blood meal in the planting hole and that is the only time I fertilize. Blood meal is high in nitrogen and helps any type of leafy greens to grow an abundance of leaves with saturated color.

PLANTING
Germination: 7-10 days
Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep
Sowing: Can direct sow after all danger of frost has passed. Or can start in seed trays/cells 4 weeks before the last frost date. In milder climates (like Florida zones 9, 10, and 11) can also start sowing in fall to grow through fall, winter, and spring.
Days to maturity: 50 days
Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.
Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.
Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.
No returns or refunds once shipped. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by USPS. Since there are so many factors that affect germination and growing success, no refunds or exchanges are allowed once seeds have shipped. These are the same seeds I use in my personal garden so I can attest to their viability. Seeds are fresh season to season.
