Hot Pink Celosia with Burgundy Foliage Flower Seeds

This is such an interesting colored Celosia! The flowers looks like soft feathery spikes and make a gorgeous addition to flower bouquets. The leaves are dark green with a burgundy tinge. The plants grow very tall often reaching over 5ft. Every now and then I chop them down to promote new growth and blooms. I use the pruned off stems and leaves in compost and mulching around the garden as it provides a lot of bio mass. This is a hardy annual which keeps growing and blooming until winter cold kills the plant. Plants prefer full sun but also tolerate some partial shade. They are also pretty drought tolerate once established.

Celosia spicata

Germination: 4-10 days

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep

Sowing: Can direct sow after the last frost, or start in pots 4-6 weeks before the last frost. In warmer climates can also direct sow at end of summer for fall flowers.
