Did you know habaneros are the hottest chili peppers in the world? These Caribbean Red habanero peppers are 2X hotter than your average habaneros. They typically have a Scoville rating of 400,000, so they'll definitely bring the heat. But it's not just about the spice – these little powerhouses also have a tangy, slightly smoky flavor with a hint of citrus, which makes them perfect for adding a kick to hot sauce recipes. These seeds will produce habanero peppers that are about  2 inches long. The peppers start off as lime-green and then turn bright red when fully ripe. Habanero plants are bushy and grow to be around 30 inches tall. They're great for growing in pots, grow bags, or in small garden spaces.

Peppers are slow to germinate and slow to start growing to transplant size. I recommend to start seeds in pots/trays with a heat mat to speed up germination. Then start fertilizing weekly with half strength fertilizer once the first set of true leaves appear. Peppers are similar to tomatoes in that they like plenty of water and are heavy feeders. 

Peppers are perennial plants and can produce for several years if taken care of. In cold climates trim off all the leaves and bring in doors in a pot to over winter. Place back out doors once temperatures are nice and warm. In mild climates, pepper plants can be left out doors and might need to be covered on the coldest nights.

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures are 75-85ºF

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep

Sowing: I highly recommended to start seeds in pots/trays as described above.

Harvest: Can be harvested at any color stage from green to red.
