Mysore Raspberry is a type of raspberry that thrives in warmer climates with mild winters (because traditional raspberry plants require significant cold winters to produce). Also called, Southern Raspberry, Snow Peaks or Ceylon Raspberry, it is native to the Southeastern USA and tropical areas like the Philippines, India, and the Himalayas. Mysore raspberry vines produce delicious, sweet black berries full of raspberry flavor. It can adapt to various growing conditions and grows quickly in hot and humid tropical climates.

How long will it take to start fruiting? Approximately 1-2 years if grown in ideal conditions. Plants fruit sporadically during the year but fruit the most from February to June.

USDA Hardiness Zones: Zones 8 and up.

Cold Hardiness: Down to 20F

Sun: Full sun

Height at maturity: Vines can get around 15FT long at maturity

Soil: Grows best in soil rich in organic composted matter

Water/Moisture/Humidity: Coffee plants like consistent water but not sitting in water for a long period of time because it will cause root rot. They also benefit from high humidity like other houseplants. Putting a dish of water nearby to create more humidity is very beneficial for the plant.

Fertilizer: Use citrus fertilizer. My favorite is Espoma organic granular citrus-tone. Fertilize young trees to encourage lots of healthy growth with about 1/8 cup every 1 to 2 months.
