INCLUDED IN THIS SEED COLLECTION

1. Freckles - This is such a pretty romaine lettuce. The leaves are bright green with copper/red spots. Makes for an interesting contrast in a mixed salad. This is a romaine type lettuce meaning the leaves are more stiff/crunchy than other lettuces, which is my preference. The head gets pretty big at about 6-8 inches wide.

2. Buttercrunch - This is a popular green butterhead lettuce cultivar. Plants are compact so it is a great choice for growing in containers. This is a butterhead type lettuce meaning it will form a loose compact head with soft lettuce leaves. Outer leaves are vibrant green while the center are more of a creamy yellow color.

3. Super Red Romaine - Gorgeous bright deep red romaine lettuce.  Makes for an interesting contrast in a mixed salad. This is a Romaine type lettuce meaning it will form a compact vertical head with crispy/sturdy leaves.

4. Black Seeded Simpson - The Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce is a highly dependable, early-maturing heirloom variety that has been popular for over 150 years. It produces large, upright, compact plants with delicious, light green, wide, and curled leaves. Known for its tender and delicately flavored foliage, this lettuce is well-suited to a wide range of climates and is ideal for early spring planting. This is a loose leaf lettuce variety.

5. Bronze Mignonette - This is such a pretty butterhead lettuce. The leaves are green with bronze streaks. Makes for an interesting contrast in a mixed salad. This is a butterhead type lettuce meaning it will form a compact head with soft lettuce leaves. The head grows to 6-8 inches wide.

6. Oakleaf - Oak Leaf lettuce is a convenient choice for your garden. It's compact, so it can grow in a small pot on your patio. It is a loose leaf lettuce meaning you can pick just what you need, and more leaves will keep growing. Or harvest the entire plant when mature and cut it for fresh salads. It's not only tasty but also easy to grow. It is one of the more heat tolerant lettuce varieties and slower to bolt than most. Plus, it's resistant to powdery mildew, downy mildew and tip burn.
