This stunning colocasia plant doesn't need any introduction. Its leaves are a striking mix of black and green, making it really stand out. And if that's not enough, its light green stems with dark purple streaks, turning into pink, add even more charm. Trust me, you won't find anything else quite like it. It's a must-have for any tropical garden or collection. Colocasia also goes by the name taro, BUT PLEASE NOTE this particular plant is not edible. There are some taro species that are edible while others are not. Mojito colocasia is not edible. It is a beautiful ornamental plant with unique foilage. 

Growing Conditions
Usually grown as a house plant but can be planted outdoors in zones 9 and up.
Does not like temperatures below 40F
Perennial 
Sun: Partial shade
Soil: Grows well in potting mix
Water: Likes consistent water but not water logged which will cause root rot
Fertilizer: Focus on nitrogen. I like mixing blood meal into the planting hole which is high in nitrogen and promotes lush leafy growth. 
Growth Habit: Mature plants can get bushy at 4FT tall and 4FT wide. Can be kept at a smaller size by growing in small pots.
