Molokhia Egyptian Spinach
Molokhia Egyptian Spinach
Molokhia Egyptian Spinach Greens Heirloom Vegetable Seeds
Molokhia goes by several names including Egyptian spinach, Jew mallow, and jute mellow. It is a warm season super green high in minerals and vitamins. I am always looking for alternative greens that perform well during the summer in my hot and humid Florida garden. This one grows great. It is most well known as the main ingredient in Molokhia soup, served with rice or pita bread. In the Philippines, it is called "saluyot". You can eat the leaves raw or cooked. It has a very mild spinach/lettuce like flavor.
