Oak Leaf Loose Leaf Lettuce Heirloom Vegetable Seeds
Oak Leaf lettuce is a convenient choice for your garden. It's compact, so it can grow in a small pot on your patio. It is a loose leaf lettuce meaning you can pick just what you need, and more leaves will keep growing. Or harvest the entire plant when mature and cut it for fresh salads. It's not only tasty but also easy to grow. It is one of the more heat tolerant lettuce varieties and slower to bolt than most. Plus, it's resistant to powdery mildew, downy mildew and tip burn.

PLANTING
Lactuca sativa
Germination: 7-10 days
Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep
Sowing: Can direct sow after all danger of frost has passed. Or can start in seed trays/cells 4 weeks before the last frost date. In milder climates (like Florida zones 9, 10, and 11) can also start sowing in fall to grow through fall, winter, and spring.
Days to maturity: 50 days
Orders are shipped in 1-3 business days excluding holidays or delays due to natural disasters like hurricanes.
Seeds are shipped in bubble mailers so they will not be pushed through USPS roller machines which can damage the seeds. I will not ship seeds in an envelope for this reason.
Seeds will be shipped with no planting instructions to keep seed costs low to the buyer. Germination and plant care information is included in the description. I encourage each gardener to research specifics on how to be successful growing them. Orders with live plants are packed on Mondays and Thursdays (excluding holidays or delays because of natural disasters. Plants are shipped in boxes with packaging material to protect them while they are in transit.
No returns or refunds once shipped. I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages caused by USPS. Since there are so many factors that affect germination and growing success, no refunds or exchanges are allowed once seeds have shipped. These are the same seeds I use in my personal garden so I can attest to their viability. Seeds are fresh season to season.
