Palla Rosa Radicchio Seeds Heirloom Vegetable Seeds

Palla Rosa Radicchio matures in 80-85 days from transplanting into the garden. This variety of radicchio is gaining popularity because of its vibrant red leaves with white veins. Palla Rosa stands out with one of the most striking color contrasts among radicchio varieties, reaching a diameter of 4 inches. Known for its bitter, spicy, and tangy flavor, Radicchio has a much sweeter flavor when cooked. A great way to cook it is by slicing it into half, brushing some olive oil and salt, grill the halves, and squeeze some fresh lemon juice on it. Can also chop fresh leaves and add to a salad. Plants get rather large at about 2FT across and form a beautiful rosette shape. Space plants 2FT apart. The outer leaves are a vibrant green color with specks on burgundy. As the head of radicchio forms in the center, the leaves start changing into a vibrant burgundy/hot pink. The burgundy leaves in the center are the best for eating.

Listing is for 1 packet of minimum 25 seeds
