Plant Bundle Discount - 1 Each Culinary Ginger, Orange Turmeric, & Galangal Starter LIVE Plants
Get a 15% discount when you purchase plant bundles instead of seperately.

This bundle includes 1 starter plant each for ginger, turmeric, and galangal.
The root system is approximately 1.5" square by 2.25" deep. The leaves/stems can be 5-8 inches tall. Plants are grown in 72 cell trays so that they will be rooted but small enough for efficient shipping.

Ginger - Grow your own fresh, flavorful edible ginger at home! Freshly harvested ginger offers a milder, richer flavor compared to store-bought ginger that has sat for long periods. Propagated through rhizomes, this tropical plant is perfect for grow bags to control its spread and simplify harvest. You can start harvesting pieces of rhizome in 6-9 months as needed. Ginger thrives in wet soils and shady spots and is perennial in zones 9+ where the ground doesn’t freeze. In colder zones, plant in containers and bring indoors when temperatures drop below 50°F. Ginger goes dormant in winter, with the tops dying back, but will sprout new growth in spring. With a mature height of 4-5 feet, this versatile plant is easy to grow and maintain.

Turmeric - Grow your own vibrant orange turmeric at home and enjoy its benefits! A close relative of ginger, turmeric is propagated through rhizomes and produces tall, tropical foliage with occasional white flowers. Its roots can be harvested fresh or dried into powder. This tropical plant thrives in hot, humid weather for about eight months and is perennial in zones 9+ where the ground doesn’t freeze. In colder zones, plant in containers and bring indoors when temperatures drop below 50°F. Turmeric goes dormant in winter, with the tops dying back, but new growth sprouts in spring. With a mature height of 4-5 feet, turmeric grows well in wet soils and shady spots, and grow bags are ideal for controlling its spread and making harvests easy.

Galangal - Galangal, a tropical rhizome related to ginger and turmeric, is prized for its sharp, citrusy, and slightly piney flavor, making it a staple in Southeast Asian cuisine. Used in soups, curries, stir-fries, and marinades, it adds a distinct aromatic quality to dishes and can also be steeped for tea. The tough outer skin is peeled before slicing, chopping, or grating the rhizome. Galangal is propagated through rhizomes, which can be planted in grow bags to control their spread and simplify harvesting. Fresh galangal can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen for longer shelf life. Begin harvesting rhizomes as needed in 6-9 months for a flavorful addition to your culinary creations!

How to Plant
I recommend that you plant these starter plants in a 1 gallon container so you can monitor its growth. Use potting mix or compost. Once it has developed a bigger root system, you can plant outside or pot up.
