Red Malabar Spinach Heat Tolerant Greens Heirloom Vegetable Seeds

These Asian greens make a great summer replacement for spinach. Their thick leaves and stems are a good source of fiber and are rich in vitamins A and C. They are perfect for adding to salads, stir-fries, and thickening summer soups. These robust climbing vines thrive during the summer and continue to flourish into the fall, offering a bountiful harvest. Leaves are glossy and thick leaves reminiscent of spinach. The red variety has dark green leaves with striking deep red/purple stems. Malabar spinach has a mild Swiss chard flavor. It is best to harvest the tender baby leaves and stems.
