Scarlet Kale
Scarlet Kale
Scarlet Kale Heirloom Vegetable Seeds
This variety of kale exhibits a wide range of colors which intensify in cooler weather. Mine has a blue/green type of tint with purple veins because I'm in a warm climate that barely gets cold. Leaves turn more reddish purple in cold weather. Leaves are broad and frilly. The stems and veins are red/purple which really stands out in contrast to the green leaves. The leaves are tender and are perfect for baby greens salad mixes.
