Shiso Perilla Leafy Greens Heirloom Vegetable Seeds
Perilla frutescens var. frutescens
Listing is for 1 packet of minimum 25 seeds

Shiso goes by several names including perilla and beefsteak plant. Though usually the leaves are used as an edible green, the flowers are edible too. Shiso is used in Asian cooking because it adds a fresh flavor similar to basil, citrus, and mint mixed together. In fact, shiso is in the mint family. The leaves are large and flat so they work great for use as wraps especially when eating Korean type of foods or can be used to wrap sushi. This leafy green is a great option for hot climates like Florida, because it tolerates some heat. Plants get very bushy, except around 2-3FT high and wide.

Follow me on social media because I post a lot of information on how to grow the very same seeds available in my Etsy shop. Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok: jerrasgarden.
