Check out my how to grow cucumbers from seed to harvest: https://youtu.be/_aj19Mv2Lsg

This is a Japanese variety of cucumber that tolerates hot summers and high humidity exceptionally well. Its a fairly productive cultivar, that produces both male and female flowers. The skin has a bumpy texture with small white spines that easily wash off. The skin is thin and does not require peeling. What I like most about this cultivar, is that the cucumbers have a very crunchy texture and are very long. Pick them early (around 10-12 inches long), to avoid a seedy middle, for the best crunchy texture, and sweet flavor. On average produces harvestable cucumbers 2.5 months from transplanting or direct sowing into the garden. It has a pretty high leaf disease tolerance. By the time the plant succumbs to leaf diseases such as powdery mildew, it has already produced tons of cucumbers. I don't spray with any chemicals and can grow organically because of this.
