Sparky French Marigold Mix Heirloom Flower Seeds

Gorgeous mix of solid and double color marigolds. Plants are compact staying around 12 inches tall. Perfect size for smaller gardens and boarders. Colors range from red, orange, and yellow. This is the same variety I grow in my own garden. The plant will continue to bloom until its killed off by frost. French marigolds are known to repel pests and nematodes in the soil. Planting around nematode attracting vegetables, such as tomatoes, is a great idea. At the end of the season when we approach winter, I like to trim all of my marigolds as they make a lot of biomass perfect for composting or using as a "green mulch" layer on top of my garden beds.

Tagetes patula

Germination: 4-10 days

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2” deep

Sowing: Can direct sow after the last frost, or start in pots 4-6 weeks before the last frost. In warmer climates can also direct sow at end of summer for fall flowers.
