For best results, start seeds indoors about 6–8 weeks before the last frost date (or sow directly in warm soil), keep the temperature around 75–85°F, and maintain consistent moisture. PLANTING
Germination: 10-15 days. To speed up germination I recommend using a heat mat. 

Seed Sowing Depth: 1/4” deep 

Sowing: I highly recommend to start in pots in doors with a heat mat 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. If you gardening in Florida, we kind of have two opportunities to grow eggplant per year. You can start them in doors around July 1st and transplant into the garden end of September for fall harvest. 

Days to maturity: 75 days from transplanting into the garden
