Yacon is a tropical root crop that goes by many other names, such as Earth Apple or Pear of the Earth. It is a perennial plant native to the Andean region of South America. Yacon is cherished for its tuberous roots, which are crisp, juicy, and mildly sweet, resembling the taste of apples and pears.
